Suits Season 5 Episode 2 Review: Compensation

$

I'm just going to toss out the question that all of us are no doubt thinking right now...

HOW MUCH MONEY DOES HARVEY EVEN MAKE?!

That was the major topic up for debate on Suits Season 5 Episode 2, and I can't say that I'm not a little disappointed it will forever remain unanswered.

Money has always been a fluid subject on the show, but with so many people so furious over Harvey's paycheck... you have to wonder what that number is.

Give us your best guess in comments below!

As for Donna, well, home girl is apparently making more than any other secretary at the firm.

Rightly so, Donna is the best of the best! But knowing that Harvey paid her salary out of his own pocket from the very beginning? It's somewhere between heart-stopingly romantic and utterly diabolical.

Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely gesture, and it proves just how much he values Donna and how little he values actual money. But keeping that kind of secret from her for 12 years only to throw it in Louis' face later? As Mike would say, "Dick move."

You can't put a price tag on a woman like that!

Louis

I'm with Louis on this one. Donna is more than just an amazing secretary, she's an amazing person. She's priceless!

Money really was the theme of the night, since elsewhere Rachel and Mike hit a bump in the road on the way to the altar with Robert Zane's prenup proposal.

Fortunately for fans of this ship, even a topic as sketchy as a prenup didn't seem to phase them. In fact, it not only brought Mike and Rachel closer together, it brought Mike and Robert closer together too. This class action suit they've teamed up on is shaping up to be the Big Case of the season.

However it pans out, it's likely to make waves at both their firms.

In another fantastic females-helping-females scene, Jessica and Rachel also have a chat about the prenup.

Jessica: You need to ask yourself how much do you really love Mike?
Rachel: I love him all the way.

These ladies are strong, independent, smart, and witty, which is why it's so nice to see all of that balanced with their respective love stories. Successful and not so successful. Watching Jessica essentially mentor Rachel in business and in life is something I need more of immediately!

Can Rachel be Jessica's associate when she graduates? Please?

Speaking of fantastic ladies, who else is already head over heels in love with Gretchen?

Harvey's new assistant might not be dynamite in a pencil skirt, but those are a dime a dozen at Pearson, Specter, Litt. What Harvey needs is a no nonsense, all eavesdropping, totally dependable secretary, who has some serious know-how. Basically, another Donna.

And Gretchen appears to fit the bill. On the plus side? She won't end up sleeping with Harvey due to unresolved sexual tension!

Gretchen: I prefer my men manly.
Harvey: Am I not manly?
Gretchen: Well, if you have to ask...

Finally, we turn to Louis.

Poor, insecure, backstabbing, infuriating Louis. We've seen Louis self-sabotage before, so this is really just par for the course, but it's still disappointing. It always seems to be one step forward, two steps back when he and Harvey make progress on their friendship.

Donna's new allegiance was sure to cause a rift between the two name partners, but heaven help us if they are about to have another workplace showdown.

Now that Jack Soloff has entered the ring, has Louis finally found a suitable ally capable of helping him take Harvey down? Or will Harvey knock them both out of the ring when all is said and done?

Tell us what you think in comments below!

For reference, I'm going to guesstimate that Harvey's bi-monthly take home is around $50k. That sounds suitably preposterous, right?

Don't forget to watch Suits online so you can put in a guess of your own.

On Suits Season 5 Episode 2 things are heating up between Louis and Harvey more than ever before.

If you thought their feud was at fiery levels before, well. Donna. Donna, Donna, Donna. There is good news on the horizon, however, as Harvey has found a kick ass new assistant who not only understands the lay of the land, but isn't afraid to stand tall where Harvey is concerned.

But where Harvey and Louis go during this hour is one for the record books. There is a saying about money and evil and even if what we witness isn't evil, the topic sure wreaks a lot of havoc nonetheless.

After last week's unlikely alliance between Mike and Robert, these two will team up to take on a new case in Suits Season 5 Episode 3. Will Jessica give them her blessing after ordering Mike to drop it? Or will she try again to take Mike off the case?

Elsewhere, Louis and Harvey's compensation issues continue.

With Louis on a vindictive streak and Donna firmly on team Louis, it looks like Harvey has no one on his side! Maybe that's why he calls in some star power to give his argument a little push!

Be sure to catch this all new episode of Suits on Wednesday, July 8th at 9/8c. And catch up on the first two episodes of the season when you watch Suits online

1. Robert Zane - Suits Season 5 Episode 3

Robert zane suits s5e3
Another week, another case, and this time Robert Zane is coming in to consult. Mike's future father-in-law might be a legal genius, but he's not exactly cuddly. Harvey is the one to greet him in this photo, but we'd be willing to be that Mike is going to be the one to have to usher Robert around for most of the episode.

2. Head of the Table - Suits Season 5 Episode 3

Head of the table suits s5e3
Back in our favorite boardroom, Robert Zane seems to be making himself right at home, team up with Mike for this new class action suit. He's a much better ally than enemy, that's for sure, but we can't imagine Jessica or Harvey would appreciate him making himself too at home in the offices.

3. Jessica & Zane - Suits Season 5 Episode 3

Jessica and zane suits s5e3
Right on cue, Jessica arrives to greet Zane, as is custom for any name partner visiting another. And as predicted, she doesn't look overly excited to see him. Time will tell if Zane proves to be an asset on this joint case of theirs or a hindrance. For now, we can all just sit back and enjoy these two power-players appearing in the same scene together!

4. Kicking Back - Suits Season 5 Episode 3

Kicking back suits s5e3
Doesn't seem like a lot of work is getting done in this particular board room does it? We'd guess that before any real work can get started, Zane has to talk Jessica into letting Mike continue on and reopen the case that Jessica told him to drop. Jessica's a formidable foe, but we think Zane might win this particular debate...

5. Smiling Jessica - Suits Season 5 Episode 3

Smiling jessica suits s5e3
The thing about Jessica's smile? You never know if it's genuine or not. She could be having a grand old time with Robert Zane, laughing it up without a care in the world. Or, she could be preparing to go for the jugular, over his decision to work with Mike on a case she specifically passed on. Never underestimate Jessica... it might be the last thing you do.

6. Donna's Desk - Suits Season 5 Episode 3

Donnas desk suits s5e3
Is it just us, or is Donna's new desk just not as fun as her old one? We miss her little corner, her nook, her alcove! It was a slice of land that belonged exclusively to Donna! Now that she's stationed outside of Louis' office, things just feel... off. Maybe we're biased, but we'll stay pouting over here in our little biased corner.

Suits Season Episode Teaser: Harvey Panics!

Woah, what a teaser! Is anyone else dying for it to be Wednesday already?

Harvey's new grudge match against Soloff didn't go his way last week, so now it looks he's calling in a couple favors to famous friends in Suits Season 5 Episode 3. Can a little star quality dazzle the other partners into restoring his salary to what it used to be?

Money might be the last thing on Harvey's mind though, as Donna's scathing rejection appears to trigger another panic attack. "What makes you think if I want to leave Louis that I would ever come back to you?" Wow, Donna. Harsh! It may be sad to see these two so at odds this season, but it's also oh so juicy!

Plus, it looks like Harvey's little secret might not be a secret anymore, since Mike witnesses him fall apart. He even calls 9-11!

Check out this all new episode of Suits on Wednesday at 9/8c.

Suits Photo Preview: Differences of Opinion

It's full steam ahead for Mike and Robert's class-action suit in Suits Season 5 Episode 4

Now that they're fighting the good fight together, you'd think their issues are behind them, right? Unfortunately, Mike and Robert seem to have a difference of opinion on how best to help the people their defending. Will they work it out, or will Mike be out of luck?

Be sure to tune into this all new episode airing July 15th at 9/8c.

1. Difference of Opinion - Suits Season 5 Episode 4

Difference of opinion suits s5e4
Now that Mike and Robert are both committed to winning this case, it looks like nothing but blue skies ahead, right? Wrong. As always, there's strife and tension and major differences of opinion between the hot-shot lawyer and his future father-in-law.

2. Mike's Morals - Suits Season 5 Episode 4

Mikes morals suits s5e4
Mike took this class-action case to Robert because he wanted someone to fight for the little guy where Jessica wouldn't. But now that they're in the thick of things, Robert might not turn out to be the white knight Mike thought he was, especially when their idea of what constitutes a "win" differs so much.

3. Make It Work - Suits Season 5 Episode 4

Make it work suits s5e4
Can Mike end up making it work with Robert Zane? Winning this case and getting restitution for the hundreds of families looking to him for help is Mike's main priority, but if it's not Robert's, then this might be the end of a not so beautiful partnership before it even begins.

4. Not Amused - Suits Season 5 Episode 4

Not amused suits s5e4
Robert Zane doesn't have his happy face on. Mike won't be able to movie-quote his way out of this pickle, and I'll bet it's making him miss Harvey as his partner in crime. Robert doesn't appear to play well with others, so what on earth can Mike do but toe the line or quit?

5. Mike's Secret - Suits Season 5 Episode 4

Mikes secret suits s5e4
Another issue we might have to worry about is Mike's little secret about his law degree. It hasn't come up in a while, but working in such close quarters with a new major player could be dangerous for him. If he pisses Robert off in the wrong way, he might be tempted to do a little digging, which could spell disaster for Mike's career!

6. The Haircut - Suits Season 5 Episode 4

The haircut suits s5e4
Mike's legal game might be as strong as ever, but what are your thoughts on his new do in Season 5? The slick-back is typically Harvey's look, and Mike might not be pulling it off as well as he thinks. Do you miss Mike's messy spikes, or is the corporate look your new favorite?

Suits Season 5 Episode 3 Review: No Refills

It's only been two episodes, but Gretchen has already won me over.

She's not Donna of course, but she has Harvey's back, and that's exactly what he needs right now, whether he wants to admit it or not.

Harvey's escalating anxiety comes to a head in Suits Season 5 Episode 3, but now he's finally starting to make some progress and regain control over it.

Donna & Louis - Suits Season 5 Episode 3

Watching Harvey picture his doctor as Donna and really let his anger come out was a huge breakthrough for him, not to mention it was an incredibly well done and well acted scene.  Losing Donna has really messed him up.

Mike's case with Robert Zane wasn't helping matters and only further pushed Harvey towards the edge. After Jessica pointed out his paranoia that Mike would be the next one to leave him, the resulting panic attack seemed inevitable.

How great was it to see Gretchen come to him and tell him about her own history of panic attacks? She gave him the hope he needed that he can overcome his anxiety and work through his abandonment issues.

No matter what Harvey is dealing with in his personal life, he's way too stubborn to let it get in the way of his professional one. Bringing in Charles Barkley to poach Jack's client was pure genius, not to mention hilarious. If only we could have had cameos from Michael, Magic, Larry, and Hakeem as well. My basketball loving heart would have been in heaven.

He even got the last word with Louis, who luckily seems to have no intention of letting Jack boss him around anymore. We need Louis back on Harvey's good side so that Gretchen can resume playing silly pranks on him. I want to see what else she can come up with to mess with him.

Mike's childhood story sure is compelling and pulls at the heart strings. It even reminds Robert what he's had to overcome to get where he is, earning his respect. Granted, it only lasted about three seconds.

Robert: You got dealt a bad hand, you pulled yourself up by your bootstraps, and I respect that.
Mike: Thanks Robert.
Robert: You can call me dad.
Mike: Really?
Robert: No.

That's okay though, because in the end it's Mike's super powered memory paired with his compassionate heart that gets the job done and truly earns Robert's respect as a partner. I think it's safe to say he earned a pass for his tardiness. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing these two continue to work together.

I'm loving whatever is happening between Jessica and Rachel right now. Their relationship is growing beyond mentor/mentee into a solid friendship similar to Rachel and Donna's. Though, I have to say, I thought it was pretty obvious the speech was going to be Jessica's, but I'll give that a pass since it gave us such great moments between them. Who else thinks a shopping trip is in order for these two? I wouldn't be opposed to that, especially if Donna came along.

Speaking of Donna, Harvey is not the only one suffering from anxiety over her. Louis is still struggling to accept that she's not going to leave him to go back to Harvey. Personally in this case his worries are probably valid. The more she assures him she's not leaving, the more I believe she eventually will. I don't necessarily think it'll happen soon, but it wouldn't shock me if she and Gretchen have switched desks by the end of the season. Donna and Harvey can't stay separated forever right?

Suits Season 5 Episode 4 Review: No Puedo Hacerlo

Can we all agree right now that Amy Acker is a gift to television and Hollywood in general?

Yes? Good.

Her appearance as Esther on Suits Season 5 Episode 4 brought a face to the long alluded to character of Louis's sister. Instead of a frumpy and sneering Louis look-alike though, we got a surprise when the gorgeous and graceful Amy Acker showed up at Pearson Specter Litt.

My only complaint for Esther's storyline is that we didn't get to see nearly enough of her banter with Louis. After the shock of finally seeing Louis's sister, we barely got one scene of them hashing it out before she was whisked off to wheel-and-deal with Harvey over her impending divorce.

Speaking of that divorce, I do love when one of Harvey's cases helps him turn a corner in his personal life.

The symmetry between Harvey's feud with Donna and Esther's battle with her husband over their divorce settlement was really portrayed beautifully.

In the beginning, we sympathize with Esther's plight. She feels tricked and abandoned by her cheating husband, and we kind of feel like screaming for the bastard's blood. Similarly, Harvey feels like Donna has committed those same crimes of infidelity by leaving him for Louis.

Watching Harvey slowly realize that Esther's stubborn refusal to settle is more about hurt feelings than money felt so vindicating. His realization that he's been treating Donna the same way out of spite... well let's just say it was a moment. I mean, that stricken look on his face when he spots Donna outside the conference room? Whoa.

Don't even get me started on Donna's emotional speech about putting herself first.

I spent twelve years putting you first, and the day I finally decided to do something for myself, you didn't just stop treating me like family, you started treating my like a stranger.

Donna

Seeing Harvey finally thank her for those 12 years at the end of the episode felt like such a step in the right direction.

There may be hope for those two yet, but there won't be any for me if they keep playing heavy emotional music while Harvey fights not to look back over his shoulder as he walks away from Donna. Come on, people. Have mercy on my heart!

Elsewhere, Mike and Robert Zane got into some hot water with their class-action suit.

I almost forgot that Katrina went to work for Zane after getting fired from Pearson Specter Litt, but that's probably because her actress has been too busy killing it on 12 Monkeys to guest star too often.

Her easy camaraderie with Mike, however, turned up a potentially nasty bit of insider trading to which Robert was possibly privy. I'm actually glad we never got a definitive answer on whether or not Robert knew about the hedge fund business. It would be great if he turned out to be an all around honest guy, but isn't it so much more interesting if he's not?

Jessica's speech about money wasn't wrong after all. Just a little harsh.

Mike: So this is all just about the money?
Jessica: Were you born yesterday? The clients are looking for money. We're looking for money. The insurance company is looking to keep money. It's always about the money.

And who else spotted that little moment of hesitation when Mike and Rachel started talking about kids?

Do we think Rachel is pregnant? Or is it just that she's not hot on the idea of children while she's battling law school, associate work and passing the bar?

Normally I'd say the latter, but this is television, so there's got to be baby drama eventually!

What did you think of "NoPeudo Hacerlo"? Has Harvey finally turned a corner with Donna? Or is this another case of "one step forward, two steps back"?

Suits Photo Preview: The Return of Travis Tanner!

It's always nice to see a familiar face, which is why it's a pleasure to see Travis Tanner has reappeared!

Okay, pleasure might be the wrong word since he's kind of an awful person, but nevertheless, Suits Season 5 Episode 5 is sure to be a doozy! Harvey going up against Tanner always makes for a great and suspenseful episode!

You can check out Tanner's past episodes when you watch Suits online, and be sure to tune in for this all new episode of Suits on Wednesday, July 22nd at 9/8c.

1. Travis Tanner - Suits Season 5 Episode 5

Travis tanner suits s5e5
Look who's back! It's Travis Tanner, back in the Suits courtroom! What will his feud with Harvey be about this time? Well, they might not be in battle mode this time, since Tanner claims to be a changed and better man. Do you think Harvey will believe him? Ha! Yeah right!

2. Harvey Points the Finger - Suits Season 5 Episode 5

Harvey points the finger suits s5e5
What do you want to bet that Harvey is detailing every sordid detail of Tanner's past to the judge presiding over their most recent case in this picture. With a laundry list a mile long of missteps and mistakes, Tanner might be in trouble if Harvey decides he's out for blood.

3. Tanner Negotiates - Suits Season 5 Episode 5

Tanner negotiates suits s5e5
If this guy has turned over a new leaf, then I'm waiting to see pigs flying outside the Pearson Specter Litt offices any day now. Honestly, I'd be surprised if Tanner's story about being a changed man turned out to be true, but we'll have to see if Harvey shares my cynicism. Could he actually give Tanner another chance?

4. Mike's Office - Suits Season 5 Episode 5

Mikes office suits s5e5
It's been a few episodes since we saw Mike and Harvey team up on a case, but Tanner presents the perfect opportunity to see the team get back together. Harvey appears to be in good spirits in this photo, but we'll see how long that lasts. Prolonged contact with Travis Tanner tends to make Harvey pretty surly pretty fast!

5. Mike & Harvey - Suits Season 5 Episode 5

Mike and harvey suits s5e5
Will Mike and Harvey talk about that near miss Harvey had with his panic attack earlier this season? Mike has been understandably distracted with his class action suit, but if Harvey has another episode while going up against Tanner, we doubt Mike will keep his mouth shut. Those two need to hash it out!

6. Opposing Opinions - Suits Season 5 Episode 5

Opposing opinions suits s5e5
Who else thinks Mike and Harvey will have opposing opinions on Tanner? Mike has always been a believer in goodness and optimism and doing the right thing. If Tanner claims to be changed, Mike might be inclined to believe him, despite all his past crimes. Harvey on the other hand... well that might be an issue for the two of them to talk out.

Suits Season 5 Episode 5 Review: Toe to Toe

$

Thank goodness someone finally brought up Mike's hair. It's about damn time!

Unfortunately, there were more pressing issues to attend to in Suits Season 5 Episode 5 than Mike's new slicked back do. Travis Tanner returned with a vengeance that was strangely... not so vengeful.

From the moment Tanner hit the scene, you could practically feel his past sins oozing off of him. This is the guy that has consistently been the worst of the worst for four whole seasons. So hearing him preach about new beginnings and better morals? Yeah right!

Ever since the day I met you, all you've done is cross lines, and it starting with you ripping off cancer victims.

Harvey

Unfortunately for Harvey, Mike was stuck between doing the right thing and worrying over Harvey's mental state. Plus, he was much more easily convinced of Tanner's new choir boy status.

You've got to love that whenever Tanner turns up, Mike becomes the adult in a play pen of bickering children. Time and time again, Mike chimed in as the voice of reason, urging the two warring parties to take the original settlement that was put on the table.

Remember when Mike used to be just an ickle little fraud with no experience or smarts?

Maybe his new hair is actually a sign of his budding maturity?

Tanner: I remember when you used to ride a bike.
Mike: I remember when you used to be a scumbag, but you didn't pretend you weren't.

The case of the week was admittedly a little bland as far as intrigue and drama go, but it never really stood a chance when Travis Tanner's possible redemption was on the line.

I honestly didn't believe right up until the end there that he was even capable of turning over a new leaf. I was glad to be wrong though, since the theme of this season seems to be Change with a capital C!

Harvey changing his ways and dealing with his issues – Donna related and otherwise. Mike growing up and starting his life with Rachel. Louis changing into a name partner that Jessica and Harvey can actually trust and respect. Donna growing out of her Harvey bubble and learning to start doing things for herself.

If even Travis Tanner can change, then there's got to be hope for the rest of our beloved characters!

Yep, things are certainly ch-ch-ch-changing on Suits this year!

Louis' journey might just be my favorite though.

After so much scheming and backstabbing and subterfuge, Louis did the one thing that might have earned him a little trust from Jessica. He looked her in the eye and admitted his wrongdoing.

Honesty apparently won him some favors too, since Jessica backed him against Soloff while simultaneously backing Soloff right into a corner. Don't you just love seeing Jessica play the long con? There's a reason she's stayed managing partner so long!

Louis: Jessica, when am I going to learn not to defy you?
Jessica: You're never going to learn, but as long as I know that, we'll be okay.

Something tells me that we haven't seen the last of Jack Soloff yet, but he's proving to be a worthy adversary so far, so I'm eager to see his next move. Perhaps Jessica will be his new target?

This review wouldn't be complete without a full length analysis of Harvey's newest Donna drama, so strap in.

That dream... wow. First off, how rude to tease us with a Harvey and Donna hookup only to yank it away. We have shippers on life support right now, I'm sure.

Plus, has there ever been a more disturbing picture than Donna naked in bed with Travis Tanner? I don't think so.

No matter how disturbing, the dream did lead to some great new scenes between Harvey and his therapist, Dr. Agard. Up until now, she's existed as a slightly aloof, but still entirely competent, psychiatrist. Someone entirely there to be used for Harvey's emotional needs. But now we learned a little bit about her back story, and she became this incredible three-dimensional character right before our eyes.

I want you to tell me the worst mistake you ever made as a therapist.

Harvey

Her story about accidentally getting her patient killed because of her own personal feelings was as tragic as it was telling. Not to mention, it helped her get right to the heart of where Harvey's issues truly lie.

Donna might be his trigger, but she's not the source of Harvey's abandonment issues. As always, the parents are to blame...

Harvey's deep seated issues with his mother's infidelity and abandonment are no doubt playing a big role in his resentment of Donna and her recent departure. Unfortunately for Dr. Agard, Harvey wasn't exactly willing to open up about that particular part of his past.

Hopefully we'll get to see him explore those issues instead of run from them in Suits Season 5 Episode 6.

Donna is looking extra smiley this week, and with good reason. Not only is she out of the office -- something we rarely get to see from Donna these days -- her main goal in this week's episode is to start planning Rachel's dream wedding. We think that might be something Donna more than excels at!

2. Wedding Plans - Suits Season 5 Episode 6

Wedding plans suits s5e6
We're not sure who this couple might be, but Donna is certainly turning up the charm isn't she? My best guess is they've booked someone or something that Rachel wants for her wedding day, and our favorite secretary is going to use every little bit of her Donna Powers to get this couple to give up the goods.

3. Dr. Agard - Suits Season 5 Episode 6

Dr agard suits s5e6
After their heated confrontation last week regarding Harvey's mother, you wouldn't think that he'd be anywhere near Dr. Agard or her office again. And yet here he is, chatting with her on the street. The question is, is it about his therapy, or the case that Paula has somehow gotten herself involved in?

4. Staring Match - Suits Season 5 Episode 6

Staring match suits s5e6
This staring match doesn't exactly look friendly, so we're guessing Harvey probably isn't making too much progress on his reported mommy issues. If he doesn't get back in Dr. Agard's good graces -- and vice versa -- then Harvey's therapy might be going nowhere fast.

5. Mommy Issues - Suits Season 5 Episode 6

Mommy issues suits s5e6
After a not so productive conversation with his therapist last week, will Harvey finally be able to face the fact that his panic attacks stem from his mommy issues rather than his Donna issues? We don't know much about Harvey's mother, but here's hoping that Dr. Agard can suss out a few more details for us in the coming weeks!

6. Harvey's Client - Suits Season 5 Episode 6

Harveys client suits s5e6
Now that he's not spending his nights on Teen Wolf, actor, J.R. Borne, has some time to swing by Suits for a cameo. He'll be playing Harvey's oldest client, whom Mike and Louis will have to handle while Harvey goes toe to toe with his therapist in a different case.

Suits Season 5 Episode 6 Review: Privilege

To those of you who doubted Louis Litt's ability to change, all I can say is I hope you strapped yourself in for Suits Season 5 Episode 6

We saw a whole new Louis tonight, and I think we can all agree that his new attitude felt like a breath of fresh air! Even if it's probably temporary.

After years of watching Louis self-sabotage and fall victim to pride and pettiness, fans finally got to see something they probably didn't expect to ever get: a changed Louis. Time and time again tonight, Louis took the high road, acting like a mature and civilized adult instead of the petulant child we're used to.

Will this behavior last? Probably not.

Louis is at his best when he's being vindictive and mean – it's half of the reason why we adore him most of the time – so I wouldn't expect this new leaf of his to stayed turned over for long.

Regardless, watching Louis behave himself and work with Mike instead of against him was awesome for fans who knew that deep down he was capable of being a team player. Let's hope he can keep it up for just a little longer! Another coup might be coming our way, and Louis is definitely someone you want on your side when the winds starts changing.

Elsewhere, Harvey seems to be doing his very best to drive Dr. Agard and her offer of help away. Every time she builds even a small bit of trust between them, Harvey blows through it with a wrecking ball. That's what most people like to call commitment issues. This week, that wrecking ball just so happened to be her past confession about killing a patient, which Harvey wielded like a weapon against her in her deposition.

I know therapists are pretty much used to being emotional punching bags, but Harvey sure packs a wallop!

Why the hell should anyone ever trust you with anything?

Harvey

I have to admit, I was pretty sure that after that kind of attack, Dr. Agard would drop Harvey for good, and that would be the end of his quick stint into therapy. Surprisingly enough, after quite a bit of back and forth, Harvey did agree to set aside his anger and defensiveness in order to talk about his mother. Finally! We've only been waiting to hear the full story on Harvey's mom since like, forever!

Speaking of scenes fans have been waiting for... DONNA AND GRETCHEN!

Good luck with your duck, Red.

Gretchen

Let's all just take a moment to relive that epic first meeting.

From the sass, to the witticisms, to the refreshing honesty exchanged between these two stand-out women, I can only say that this had better be the start of a beautiful friendship. I'm pretty sure that Donna and Gretchen could conquer a small country if they really wanted to.

Alas, Donna put her powers to work elsewhere, plotting and planning Rachel's dream wedding.

Admittedly, the wedding planner subplot was a little silly and not my favorite, even if it did give us the opportunity to hear Donna put on that outlandish French accent. All I can say is that I hope Donna gets a meaty story soon, preferably independent of Harvey's issues, so we can get a deeper look into her character this year.

There's still a lot of territory left unexplored with Donna, so it's high time we start digging in to her past. She might seem like she's got everything perfectly pulled together all the time, but those characters often have the juiciest secrets waiting in the wings.

The past will definitely be coming back to haunt us in the next installment, in more ways than one!

Not only will we get another peek at Louis' sister, Esther, next week, but Suits Season 5 Episode 7 also marks the return of Daniel Hardman.

This is your last chance to work with me. Take it, and you have a future. Don't, and you can go ask Daniel Hardman for a job.

Jessica

If you wondered why Jack Soloff seemed to be gunning for Harvey and Jessica so hard this season, then wonder no more! He appears to be taking orders from the previously ousted Daniel Hardman, which is never a good thing.

Is Hardman back for revenge? Will we finally get to hear all the dirty details about Harvey's mother? Sound off in comments below with your theories!

So many familiar faces are showing up on Suits Season 5 Episode 7 this week!

First, we've got the sneaky and slimy Daniel Hardman making his reappearance, which can only mean bad things for Jessica. War might be brewing at P.S.L again. Also, Louis' sister, Esther, is back with some legal business to take care of, and we're sure everyone is waiting with bated breath to find out if she'll spill the beans about her tryst with Harvey!

It might be time to marathon some old episodes to prepare for this week, so be sure to watch Suits online to refresh your memory!

1. Jessica Prepares - Suits Season 5 Episode 7

Jessica prepares suits s5e7
With Daniel Hardman back -- and no doubt eager for blood after being ousted from his own firm in Season 2 -- Jessica might need to be ready to do battle. Hardman has a smiles and sweetness exterior with a pure evil gooey center, which is the hardest kind of enemy to predict. Let's hope Jessica has a plan!

2. Jessica Visits Jack - Suits Season 5 Episode 7

Jessica visits jack suits s5e7
Now that we know Soloff has been in league with Hardman this whole time, you have to wonder if Jessica has been his main target all along. After all, Hardman might have a bone to pick with Harvey and Louis, but Jessica was, and forever will be, the opponent that he considers most worthy.

3. Team Hardman - Suits Season 5 Episode 7

Team hardman suits s5e7
While Jack Soloff might be a formidable foe at the moment, you know he's nothing when compared with Daniel Hardman. And Jessica's threat to fire him from the firm last week might not be sitting well with him. Can Soloff be swayed over to Jessica's side, or is he Team Hardman all the way?

4. Angry Smile - Suits Season 5 Episode 7

Angry smile suits s5e7
This is what I like to call Jessica's 'angry smile.' Normally a smile means that someone is happy and carefree, but for Jessica, it's more of a sign that you're about to be in some big trouble. It's all in the eyes... The reason she's showing you all those teeth? The better to eat you with, my dear!

5. Jessica vs. Hardman - Suits Season 5 Episode 7

Jessica vs hardman suits s5e7
Jessica sure is doing a lot of thinking in these photos, but we can't really blame her. After turning on Hardman not once but twice -- no matter how well deserved both coups were -- you have to wonder if she can win a fight with him a third time. Will she be able to pull a hat-trick on this one, or will the third time be the charm for Daniel Hardman?

6. Harvey & Gretchen - Suits Season 5 Episode 7

Harvey and gretchen suits s5e7
One of the best new relationships to come out of this season has been the one between Gretchen and Harvey. Without Donna, we were worried Harvey might fall apart (she managed his life with perfection and precision after all). But Gretchen has stepped up to the task, and she's proving to be every bit the sassy assistant Donna ever was.

We've seen it all before on Suits, right?

Louis Litt takes it upon himself to do something crafty... the plan goes awry ... and while he desperately attempts to fix things, he also tries to keep Harvey Specter (or Jessica) from finding out about his blunder.

On Suits Season 5 Episode 7, Louis will have done it again by trusting nemesis Jack Soloff - and it will come back to bite him in the rear end. Big time.

As you'll see in this exclusive clip (provided to TV Fanatic by the good folks at USA), though, Louis may not cower in a corner when Harvey lays into him this time around. He's prepared to stand up and fight!

Suits Season 5 Episode 7 Review: Hitting Home

It may have taken five seasons, but Harvey and Louis have finally come to physical blows! And boy, was it ugly!

After an emotionally draining episode like Suits Season 5 Episode 7, it's hard to determine who needs our sympathy the most: Harvey for his mommy issues, Mike for his fraud issues, or Louis for his poor broken face!

I think the dark horse in that race would actually be Jack Soloff.

After so many weeks of vile and villainous behavior, we were finally given a look at why Jack does the horrible things he does. Admittedly, it was hard to trust Jack at first. Beware of double-crossers offering lucrative cases.

But the more Jack and Mike worked together, the clearer it became that Jack could possibly be one of the good guys – a suspicion that was reinforced when he refused to let Hardman manipulate him into betraying the firm again.

You have to feel sorry for the guy, though. Not everyone can be hotshots like Harvey, Mike, and Jessica. Some people pay their dues for 20 years, grinding out the hours and hard work, and still don't come out on top. Looking at it that way... I'd probably want to pick a fight with Harvey, too.

Now we'll just have to wait and see if Jack becomes an ally for Team Harvey, or if Hardman can tempt him back to the dark side.

If you want to get along with me, you better find a way to get along with him.

Mike

Mike turned out to be a good vessel through which to tell Jack's redemption story. He had the least turbulent past with Soloff, making their tentative friendship believable, and he's always been the first to forgive and forget others' misdeeds.

Perhaps that's because he has so many secret misdeeds of his own?

After all these years and with so many people in the know, it's easy to forget that Mike is still lying about his law degree to the rest of the world. He may be practicing law in the big leagues, but he's still a fraud. Which is why when Jack pays it forward and suggests Mike for junior partner, Jessica demands that he turn down the position.

Remember that glass ceiling that caused Mike to quit at the end of Suits Season 3?

Yep, it's back with a vengeance!

Something tells me that this time, Mike won't just sit back and let his secret keep him from success. Unfortunately, any rebellion against Jessica would be poorly timed now that she's about to go head to head with Hardman.

Meanwhile, Darvey fans finally got some action tonight in both good and bad ways.

Harvey and Donna's standing anniversary date – go ahead and let that sink in, shippers – was an adorable way to get these two back on civil speaking terms. It's only a shame the can opener didn't make an appearance! Sadly for us though, their little dinner didn't lead back to friendship, since Donna sees all.

Once again, Donna found herself stuck in between Harvey and Louis, after realizing that Harvey had broken his promise not to sleep with Esther. As much as I'm loving this change up of loyalty for Donna, I decidedly don't enjoy seeing her pulled between two men like she's a tug-of-war chew toy.

Can Gretchen reveal that she's actually a high-powered attorney, so Donna can go work for her? Thanks.

Louis and Esther's relationship got quite a bit more focus this week too, which was a relief since their brother/sister bond was barely touched on during Esther's first episode. I would have to say that Louis' defining personality trait has always been insecurity, and his scenes with Esther tonight really highlighted the source of that.

I'm not going to let you treat me like I'm less than you!

Louis

Sibling rivalry isn't always fun or cute; it can be damaging and painful. This new information about Louis' inferiority complex with his sister really helps shed some light on some of his more... aggressive tendencies. Especially with Harvey, whom he's always seen as competition.

There wasn't too much competition in their quick scuffle at the end of the night, though.

Admittedly, Louis came on a little too strong considering Harvey had just made an unsettling breakthrough with Dr. Agard about his mother. Learning you've developed the same habits as the mother you hate? Bad news. I'd probably want to punch something, too. Just not my best friend/long time rival!

Louis, for all his bluster, didn't stand a chance against Harvey. That's something that is not going to work in Harvey's favor in Suits Season 5 Episode 8, when Louis decides he wants to press assault and battery charges!

Can Louis forgive and forget? Or will this feud give Harman the opportunity he's been waiting for to swoop in and destroy Jessica?

I'd recommend a few of you go watch Suits online to revisit old episodes, especially since next week Troian Bellisario will be reprising her role as Mike's old flame!

13 Times Donna Paulsen Stole the Show on Suits

It's no secret that when it comes to Suits, Donna is the fan favorite that just keeps on giving.

She started out as Harvey's witty redheaded secretary, but over the course of five seasons, she's grown into a character who defines the show nearly as much as Harvey and Mike.

Whether it's a witty rejoinder, a sexy strut, or her uncanny ability to somehow know EVERYTHING, Donna tends to dominate the office both in business and personal matters. Let's not even get into those epic moments when we get a little hint of her romance with Harvey.

To celebrate such a wonderful woman, we present you with The 13 Times Donna Paulsen Stole the Show.

1. That Time She Knew Everything

Donna knows everything
Let it never be forgotten that Donna knows all, sees all, and understands all. Keeping a secret in this office? Not a chance.

2. That Time She was a Fashion Mean Girl

Donna knows fashion
It's easy to see that Donna's got some of the best style on the show, so she obviously has no qualms about passing judgment on others' wardrobe choices.

3. That Time She and Rachel Talked Penis Length

Donna and rachel
It's always great to see ladies supporting ladies on TV, and Donna and Rachel's friendship is just that. Whether they're gabbing about dirty details or how best to win a case, these two ladies are awesome together.

4. That Time She Strutted Through the Office

That time she strutted through the office
When Donna is having a good day, everyone knows it. Mainly because she'll strut through the office like she owns the place and walk all over anyone who dares to get in her way.

5. That Time She was Too Busy Being Awesome

That time she was too busy being awesome
Photographic memory? Sorry, Donna's brain is way too busy being awesome. Literally. With one look, this girl will know more about you than you do. We'd take that super power over a photographic memory any day.

6. That Time She Slapped Hardman

That time she slapped hardman
Word to the wise? Do NOT make Donna angry. And especially do not come up with a convulted scheme to attack Harvey by getting Donna fired. She will come after you.

Summer programming is starting to go off the air already?! Oh no!

That's right, we had our last week with Halt and Catch Fire and perhaps our last quote ever if the show isn't picked up (c'mon AMC, do the right thing!) and things fell into utter chaos on the UnREAL Season 1 finale.

Elsewhere around the dial, there were wars on CBS with Extant and Under the Dome, a prom on Pretty Little Liars and a cop gone bad on Rookie Blue, but still a little time for makin' love.

See if your favorites made the cut with the quotes of the week!

Suits Photo Preview: A Pretty Little Guest Star...

After her quick cameo last season, it seems Troian Bellisario just couldn't stay away from Suits!

Reprising her role as Claire, the cute, lovable, and very angry law student that Mike duped before he hooked up with Harvey, Troian's latest appearance on Suits Season 5 Episode 8 is sure to cause quite a few issues for Mike. After all, she knows that he never went to law school! Will this pretty little liar end up lying for Mike, or exposing his secret to the world?

If you're looking to watch Claire's first appearance, look no further because you can watch Suits online via TV Fanatic to re-familiarize yourself!

1. Claire is Back! - Suits Season 5 Episode 8

Claire is back suits s5e8
This week, Troian Bellisario reprises her role as Claire, Mike's ex from his pre-Harvey days. Back when Mike was still a bike messenger who smoked too much pot, he conned Claire into believing he was a law student just like her. Needless to say, things didn't end well.

2. Mike & Claire - Suits Season 5 Episode 8

Mike and claire suits s5e8
Claire has heard the fake-lawyer song and dance before from Mike, so you can bet she'll be suspicious about how he ended up at a top tier law firm. The only question is, will she keep his secret despite their rocky past, or will she turn him (and everyone involved) into the board?

3. Mike - Suits Season 5 Episode 8

Mike suits s5e8
Mike better do some fast thinking where Claire is concerned, since they didn't exactly part on the best of terms. If he can't convince her to give him a second chance and keep his secret, then that Junior Partner position might not be an issue for much longer.

4. Rachel and Claire - Suits Season 5 Episode 8

Rachel and claire suits s5e8
If Mike can't convince Claire to keep quiet, maybe Rachel can? After all, she was duped by Mike's law school lies before, just like Claire was. The only difference is that Rachel has come to accept the good Mike can do with a degree, despite all the lies. Can Claire do the same?

5. Unhappy Claire - Suits Season 5 Episode 8

Unhappy claire suits s5e8
If Claire does in fact realize that Mike never went to law school after they broke up, then she could hold the key to bringing him – and Jessica and Harvey and Louis too – and his career crashing down. Will she go that far just to win her case?

6. Dr. Agard - Suits Season 5 Episode 8

Dr agard suits s5e8
Dr. Agard is back and looking happier than ever. Her sessions with Harvey hit quite the bump earlier this season, but can we assume from her happy expression that they're making progress? Let's hope so, since Harvey might need her testimonial if Louis ends up bringing assault and battery charges against him.
